Bengaluru-based firm to remove solid waste in Puducherry

The government has entered into an agreement with Bengaluru- based company, Swatchada Corporation, for cleaning and disposal of municipal solid waste in the Puducherry, Oulgaret Municipalities and other adjoining areas to the city.

A few months ago, Puducherry Urban Development Agency, had invited e-tenders from the eligible firms who were willing to perform the work of collection and transportation of municipal solid waste (MSW) for the entire Urban Agglomeration area, which consists of Puducherry Municipal limits, Oulgaret Municipal limits and areas of Ariankuppam and Villianur Commune Panchayats.

The government decided to award the contract to Swatchada Corporation which was the lowest bidder.

Local Administration director P.T. Rudra Goud and proprietor of Swatchada Corporation Banumurthy Reddy signed the agreements.
