Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy on Saturday termed the Union Government’s decision to ban the sale of cattle for slaughter at animal markets as “autocratic.” Addressing a press conference here, he said the decision taken by the government was an infringement on the rights of the people. “Today you ban slaughter of cows, buffaloes and tomorrow you will restrict people from eating mutton and fish and then starve them,” he said.
