An anti-social was hacked to death by a gang at Pathukannu near the Oussudu Lake on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Suresh (35), a history sheeter of Porayur near Villianur.
Police said Suresh was returning home on his two-wheeler from Villianur when a gang waylaid him at Pathukannu. Suresh abandoned the vehicle and ran towards the Oussudu Lake. The assailants chased Suresh and attacked him with lethal weapons. He died on the spot. Previous enmity is suspected to be the motive behind the murder. A case has been registered.
