The All India NR Congress party cadres on Wednesday staged a road roko demanding resignation of Lieutenant-Governor Virendra Kataria. Led by party functionary Sumath from the Kamaraj Nagar constituency, around 100 supporters blocked the traffic and sat on the arterial Kamarajar Salai.
They held placards and raised slogans demanding the resignation of Mr. Kataria.
Traffic on the arterial road was disrupted for under an hour due to the stir. The protesters dispersed only after police persuaded them to leave.
