The Congress and the DMK on Friday released the list of constituencies finalised by the two parties for the May 16 Assembly elections. It got finalised after several rounds of negotiations between the leaders of the two parties in Puducherry.
“Following instructions and suggestion from our high command, we finalised the seats to be contested by both the Congress and DMK. Both the parties will work in close coordination to bring the Congress back to power,” Pradesh Congress Committee president A. Namassivayam said. The DMK will be contesting from Muthialpet, Thattanchavady, Mannadipet, Orleanpet, Uppalam, Mudaliarpet, Mangalam, Karaikal (South) and Neravy T.R. Pattinam. The Congress will contest from the remaining 21 Assembly constituencies.
