Smart Cities contest for residents

The Puducherry Municipality is working on a proposal towards a Smart City challenge, which would include city-wide smart urban solutions as well as identification of areas within the city for its implementation. The proposal would be defined based on the views of Puducherry residents.

An extensive citizen engagement programme has been established by the Pondicherry Municipality to document the views of the residents. Residents can submit their suggestions and ideas on any current issue in Puducherry. The suggestion should clearly highlight the issue and the suggestive measures in a maximum of 500 words.

Participants can submit their suggestions and ideas at comrpm.pon@nic.in in pdf format or in person to the Commissioner, Pondicherry Municipality, Puducherry. The last date for submitting the entries is January 12.

Citizens above the age of 10 years can participate in the competition. The prize money along with the certificates for top 3 suggestions and ideas will be awarded - 1st Prize - Rs 7,000; 2nd Prize - Rs 5,000; 3rd Prize - Rs 2,000; Consolation Prize - Four of each Rs 500

Photography Contest for Smart City. Theme: What is Puducherry for you?

Prize money along with certificates would be awarded to the top five photographs. 1st Prize – Rs 10,000; 2nd Prize – Rs 8,000; 3rd Prize – Rs 6,000; 4th Prize – Rs 4,000; 5th Prize – Rs 2,000

Consolation Prize – four numbers of each Rs 500

Eligibility – High resolution image (larger than 3264X2448)

Participants can submit their photographs either at comrpm.pon@nic.in in jpeg format or in person to the Commissioner, Puducherry Municipality, Puducherry.
