Former AIADMK legislator Om Sakthi Sekar has been expelled from the primary membership of the party.

Mr Sekar, an ex-army man, had questioned the rationale of V. K Sasikala stepping into the Chief Minister’s chair.

On the night when O. Panneerselvam revolted against Ms Sasikala, Mr Sekar along with his supporters burst crackers and distributed sweets.

Since then, he had been vocal in his criticism against Ms Sasikala.

Reacting to his expulsion, Mr Sekar told The Hindu that he was not bothered about the disciplinary action.
