Sanitation and hygiene were the take away messages from a fun skit, ‘Peyottam’ hosted by the nursing students of JIPMER.

The skit was part of the “Sanitation Fortnight’ observance at Jipmer in response to the nation-wide call by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan drive.

The skit was inaugurated by the Dr. S.C. Parija, Jipmer Director, in presence of the Dr. J. Balachander, Medical Superintendent and Dr. Ambrose, Deputy Medical Superintendent. The production was essentially in-house with Dr. K.A. Gunasekaran, former dean, Pondicherry University, penning the skit and Dr.G.Paulraj from School of Performing Arts, Pondicherry University, training the students. Sanitary Inspector of JIPMER Pethannan directed the screenplay.
