39 cases of non-issue of invoices detected

The Commercial Taxes Department has detected 39 cases of deficiencies with regard to non-issue of invoices. According to a release, the department conducted inspections on the premises of 223 dealers and deficiencies were detected in 39 cases.

In respect of dealers, ₹54.12 lakh had been collected, which included ₹43.40 lakh as tax and ₹10.72 lakh as penalty.

G. Srinivas, Commissioner (Sales Tax), has requested the public to insist on proper bills from the sellers and service providers to prevent loss of revenue to the government.
