Action will be taken against NCP MP Udayanraje Bhosale, whose anticipatory bail plea was rejected by the Bombay High Court recently in an extortion case, at the right time, MoS Home (Rural) Deepak Kesarkar said on Saturday.

The Satara MP, a direct descendant of Chhatrapati Shivaji, was denied anticipatory bail by the high court upholding a lower court’s order in the case. The Satara Police had registered an FIR against Bhosale and his supporters on March 22 after the the owner of a manufacturing unit in Lonand Industrial Estate in Satara district alleged they had demanded protection money from him.

Responding to reporters queries on the march taken out by Mr. Bhosale with his supporters in Satara last night, Mr. Kesarkar said, “No action was taken against the MP last night to avoid the law and order problems”.
