Team appointed to probe Manjula Shette murder

Mumbai: The Maharashtra government has appointed a one-member committee to probe the allegations made against DIG Swati Sathe in the custodial murder of Manjula Shette insideByculla jail. A government resolution dated August 9 said, Jagdish Patil, an IAS officer will head the one member committee and directs jail officials to submit all relevant documents to him. Mr. Patil is directed to submit a report in one month’s time. On July 7, Ms. Sathe stepped down from the probe. Manjula is alleged to have been assaulted in her barrack.
