Continuing its attempts to pick holes in the prosecution’s case in the 2002 hit-and-run case, actor Salman Khan’s counsel Amit Desai on Tuesday accused the prosecution of “material omissions” and “tainted investigations” by not examining either Khan’s family driver Ashok Singh or the actor’s friend singer Kamaal Khan who were in the actor’s car that night.
Picking up from his Monday’s arguments accusing the prosecution of tutoring prime witnesses in the Bombay High Court, Mr. Desai pointed out to Judge AR Joshi that none of the four witnesses said anything about Kamaal Khan or constable Ravindra Patil.
“There is not even one sentence about what Patil and Kamaal Khan did (after the mishap) Did they help the victims? Did they help lift the car?” Mr Desai said.
