The Bombay High Court on Tuesday is set to hear actor Salman Khan’s plea seeking permission to travel to Dubai for a show on May 29, 2015.

The actor, whose passport is in custody of Bandra police, moved the court last week seeking permission to travel abroad.

While staying his sentence in the 2002 hit-and-run case and grating him bail, the High Court in its order of May 8 held that the actor would have to seek permission from the court each time he wanted to make a trip outside India.

Earlier on May 6, a sessions court convicted Salman for culpable homicide not amounting to murder and sentenced to him to five years in jail.

The actor’s appeal against the order of conviction was admitted by the High Court and the final hearing on the appeal has been slated for July.
