Mangal Prabhat, BJP MLA of Malabar Hill, has threatened to organise a protest against the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) if it does not repair the portion of the Charni Road skywalk that collapsed on Saturday.

Mr. Lodha conducted a site inspection on Tuesday and said with increasing number of commuters, the broken skywalk put hundreds of lives at stake. In a letter to BMC commissioner Ajoy Mehta, the MLA said, “We need to get the broken bridge repaired and find an alternative arrangement till then.”

The letter also mentions that the skywalk leading to the platform is also in a bad shape.
