A local court in Jalgaon district on Monday named Gajendra Patil, brother of former President, Pratibha Patil as an accused in a murder case of a local Congress leader.

The court ordered to book Mr. Patil and the former Congress MLA Ulhas Patil on the charges of murder and criminal conspiracy.

The court was hearing the case of a local Congress leader Professor V.G. Patil. In September, 2005, Mr. V.G. Patil’s car was allegedly stoned and he was hacked to death.
