Police find fresh evidence in Zinta case

June 17, 2014 12:20 am | Updated November 16, 2021 06:50 pm IST - MUMBAI:

In a second set of CCTV footage, which has been handed over by the Wankhede stadium authorities, the Mumbai Police have found fresh evidence in the Preity Zinta case. The actor had filed a complaint against her former boyfriend and co-owner of Punjab XI IPL team, Ness Wadia of outraging of modesty.

“In this footage we can see that the duo is fighting over something. But we are still unable to make out the details. We will have to give the video for forensic test. It has to be zoomed in to be deciphered,” a senior police official privy to the investigation said.

Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police on Monday issued a letter to Ms. Zinta to remain present before them for the recording of her statement within three days. Her lawyer told The Hindu that he had not received a copy of the letter till late evening on Monday. “She has gone abroad. I don’t know when she is going to return,” advocate Hitesh Jain said.
