‘PM focuses on poll rallies, not governance’

Mumbai: Taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray on Monday said those who have been assigned to govern the country are busy campaigning in election rallies.

“We are witnessing a paper leak in the Army recruitment examination. They are the people who safeguard our country, but papers of their examinations are not safe. Where are we heading?” said Mr. Thackeray addressing party workers at Rangsharda auditorium on the occasion of Marathi Language Day.

Mr. Thackeray said such instances occur because those who have been entrusted with the job of governing the nation are not paying attention to it.

Snapping of ties

Talking about the snapping of electoral ties with the Bharatiya Janata Party, Mr. Thackeray said now is not the time to mourn over it. “We have to walk towards a future which will be a matter of pride to Chhatrapati Shivaji and Balasaheb Thackeray.”
