PIL challenges Maria posting as Mumbai Police chief

A PIL was filed in the Bombay High Court on Thursday challenged the appointment of Rakesh Maria as Mumbai Police Commissioner.

“The appointment is against the Government Resolution of the State,” petitioner Hemant Patil told The Hindu .

He said that “according to the GR, Vijay Kamble should have been appointed.”
