The Income Tax department on Wednesday conducted raids at various premises of the D.Y. Patil Education Society all over the State. Officials said that documents pertaining to income tax payment were seized by the I-T teams.
According to sources, the raids began at 7.30 a.m. in Pune, where four premises of the society were raided. Several teams reached the offices of various institutes of the society in Pimpri and sealed them, after which the officers started collecting relevant documents. The raids lasted for a couple of hours.
An hour later, another team reached the offices of the D.Y. Patil Engineering and Medical College in Kolhapur.
