NCP demands probe into Sanatan Sanstha

March 18, 2015 01:19 pm | Updated 01:19 pm IST - MUMBAI:

The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) on Tuesday demanded a probe into Hindu right-wing organisation Sanatan Sanstha for its alleged involvement in the murder of rationalist Dr. Narendra Dabholkar and veteran Communist leader Dr. Govind Pansare.

“Articles written by Sanatan’s mouthpiece Sanatan Prabhat against Dabholkar must be investigated. Why is it that none of the investigating agencies has questioned its leader Jayant Athawale yet?” asked NCP MLA Jitendra Awhad in the Assembly.

Mr. Awhad presented the photograph of Goa’s Madgaon bomb blast accused Praveen Limkar which has similarities with the sketch published by Pune Police in the Dabholkar murder case. Limkar is currently in the wanted list of the National Investigation Agency.

“Another accused in this case Rudra Patil was seen in Kolhapur a few months before Pansare’s murder. Why no probe on this?” he asked.
