As news reports about finding of parts of the missing Malaysian flight MH 370 emerge, the family members of those who died in the tragedy are yet to receive any official information either from the government or from the airline.

Pralhad Shirsat, husband of Kranti (44) who was onboard the flight told The Hindu over phone that he is anxiously waiting for official communication from any of the agencies.

“The only option we have now is to keep track of the happenings through news websites. I am keeping a tab on all the developments,” Mr. Shirsat told The Hindu .

His wife Kranti was a former chemistry lecturer and among 239 passengers who were on board the Beijing-bound plane before it went missing on March 8, 2014.

Asked whether the government or airline company had got in touch with him, he said: “Our entire family is hoping to hear something. Only thing we know and that too from news websites is that a few parts have been located and they are likely of the plane.”
