Mumbai: A reinforcement pillar of the Metro 7 Corridor bent and fell partly onto the service road along the Western Express Highway at Aarey Junction on Saturday. Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) officers said the incident occurred after the reinforcement pillars were installed.

“A Hydra crane touched the reinforcement pillars due to leakage of air pressure, resulting in bending of the reinforcement pillar. It twisted towards the service road, but fortunately no casualties were reported in the incident,” an officer said.
