Navi Mumbai: The Panvel city police have arrested a 40-year-old man for having an unnatural intercourse with an eight-year-old boy. He has been identified as Wasim Palkar (40) while his associate Faizan Patel is at large. The accused and the victim, a Class II student, are residents of Muslim Muhallah at Old Panvel, and were known to each other.
According to the police, the incident happened around three times after April 22 and it came to light when the mother of the victim realised that he had stopped going out. “It was vacation and the child used to go out daily for playing. But, for the last few days, he had not been stepping out even after his mother forced him. When she enquired with him, he told his mother about the two accused who had been forcing him for an unnatural intercourse when he went out,” said assistant police inspector Deepak Domb from Panvel city police station.
