The police on Wednesday recovered 16 live cartridges near the Taj Mahal hotel, a key site of the 26/11 attacks, in South Mumbai.
Police claims that the cartridges were discovered by a local who stumbled upon them while crossing the road next to the parking lot of the hotel. According to the police, the cartridges belong to a .32 bore licensed revolver.
“Some of the cartridges have gone rusty and therefore we assume they are around three years old. We are studying the nearby CCTV footage to see if they were dumped by someone in the past few days,” Additional Commissioner of Police, South Region, Mr. Krishna Prakash told The Hindu .
