Months after extending her support to Prime Minister Narendra Modi during recently contested Lok Sabha elections, veteran singer and Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar now wants to see a Shiv Sena -Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Maharashtra.

"I will be happy to see the Sena -BJP alliance government in the state," Ms. Mangeshkar said on Friday while launching a book written by photographer Mohan Bane on India's cricket world cup victory in 2011.

Ms. Mangeshkar had in the past > expressed her wishes to see Mr. Modi as India's PM and Bharat Ratna being awarded to master blaster Sachin Tendulkar. Both of which have turned in to reality.

Yuva Sena chief and Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray's son Aditya, who was present at the launch said that Lata Didi's wish will soon turn in to reality.

"We consider her the member of our family. Her words are nothing less than blessings to us," he said.
