Mumbai: Shyamvar Rai, Indrani Mukerjea’s driver, told the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court on Monday that he hasn’t filed any application accepting his guilt in the arms case in which he was arrested.

When advocate Sudeep Pasbola, appearing for Indrani, asked Rai if he had filed any such application, he said,“I haven’t filed any such application.”

The Sheena Bora murder came to light after Rai was booked in the arms case. Rai said after he was arrested by the Khar police, he told them that Indrani had told him to dispose of the bag with the pistol.

Mr. Pasbola asked Rai about Marlow building in Worli, where Indrani and Peter used to live. He was also asked about the drive to Lonavla and back with Indrani, to which he continued to give evasive answers. “I don’t remember” was his reply to most of them.

The court has been hearing the murder case of April 2012 on a daily basis. In the last hearing, Rai said nobody had asked him about the disappearance of Sheena. He had said that he remembered talking to Mikhail Bora, but did not remember whether Mikhail called him or he called Mikhail.

In one of the earlier hearings, Rai had identified the shoes worn by Sanjeev, Indrani and him on the day they killed Sheena. Rai had also identified the bag which was bought by Indrani to put Mikhail’s body after he would be dead. The same bag was used to put Sheena’s body as Indrani had bought two bags. On being asked by the court, Rai identified Indrani, Sanjeev and Peter, who were standing in the witness box.
