Film screening: Four shorts

Tonight, as part of the ‘India Chapter’ of the New York Indian Film Festival, 2016, four short films will be screened. Writer-director Nishant Roy Bombarde’s award-winning Marathi film Daaravtha follows a young boy named Panku, who is captivated by the graceful dance and costume of the female character of his school’s play. The film depicts the horrors and wonders of a young boy discovering his sexuality. Also being screened are Agli Baar , Absent and El’Ayichi . See g5a.org for details.
