An ongoing art exhibition showcases the work of Anuradha Thakur. The artist has been inspired by Amrita Sher-Gil’s paintings of tribal women. Thakur’s art portrays tribal and rural life from different regions of the country. The use of the colour black in the paintings is Thakur’s signature style. She believes that in the midst of an array of bright colours, black adds a sombre effect to her paintings. The exhibition is on till May 9.
