Mumbai: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is enhancing his digital presence to connect with voters.

On Tuesday, he became the first Chief Minister to sign up as a Decision Maker (DM) on Change.org, the global social change technology platform. This will help Mr. Fadnavis engage directly with citizens’ issues and campaigns. The DM feature is used by leaders across the world to demonstrate transparency and build trust.

On his first day as a DM, Mr. Fadnavis received a petition from Mumbai mother Subarna Ghosh, requesting the State government to look into high rates of Caesarean section deliveries and bring in more transparency.

Mr. Fadnavis said, “There should be a display of the number of C-sections and normal deliveries in hospitals. We will set up a committee to form standard operating procedures.”

Earlier, Mr. Fadnavis inaugurated a website for the CMO, which will provide day-to-day updates. A website called Mahalabharthi was also started to provide information on government schemes.
