cardiologist B.K. Goyal no more

Noted cardiologist B.K. Goyal passed away on Tuesday. The 82-year- old Padma awardee collapsed at his Breach Candy home and is believed to have suffered from a cardiac arrest.

Dr. Goyal was attached to the Bombay Hospital in Marine Lines. He had served as the Sheriff of Bombay in 1980. He was a consultant to the famous Texas Heart Institute at Houston, USA.

He was conferred Padma Shri in 1984, Padma Bhushan in 1989 and Padma Vibhushan in 2005.
