Mumbai: The corner portion of a MHADA cessed building on Warden Road collapsed on Monday evening. “There were no occupants in the building and no one was injured,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone II) Dnyaneshwar Chavan.

The Mumbai Police later tweeted there was traffic congestion from Marine Drive to Kemps Corner due to the collapse. The four-storey building is located near St. Stephen Church at Mukesh Chowk. It houses shops on the ground floor.

The police control room was alerted about the collapse at 6:30 p.m. The BMC’s Disaster Management Unit confirmed that no one was injured or trapped under the debris. A primary investigation is on, and officials are retrieving documents pertaining to the age of the building.
