The State government after referring to the police service manual, will dismiss inspector Abhay Kurundkar, who has been arrested for allegedly killing Navi Mumbai assistant police inspector Ashwini Bidre.

Minister of State for Home (Urban) Ranjit Patil told the Council on Friday, “We have already suspended him, and have requested the Centre to withdraw his police medal,” Mr. Patil said. He was responding to a calling-attention motion moved by Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) legislator Hemant Takle.
