Navi Mumbai: The Navi Mumbai Crime Branch, investigating the murder of policewoman Ashwini Bidre, plans to approach the Google office in the U.S. to get satellite images of the Vasai bridge where the accused dumped the gunny bag containing Bidre’s body.

According to the police, they had initially approached the Hyderabad office of Google. “We were ready to purchase the images, and had got an approval of ₹1 lakh from the State. Now we are trying through the head office. The companies who conducted a search for the body did not charge us as we were to pay them only if they found it,” an officer said.
