Three Bangladeshi nationals, who had been illegally residing and working in the city for over a decade, were arrested by the MIDC police on Thursday for trying to obtain passports using forged documents.

The accused — brothers Ruhul Sharafat Ali Maula and Nizamiddin Sharafat Ali Maula, and their sister Feeroza Khaatoon Sharafat Ali Maula — were employed in the Hindi film industry as stuntpersons.

The police said the three accused entered India via Kolkata from Bangladesh. The police have recovered PAN cards, Aadhaar cards, ration cards, birth certificates and other documents from their possession.

The three were produced before the court and sent to police custody.
