Autorickshaw drivers held for robbery

The Kharghar police have arrested two autorickshaw drivers who robbed people at night.

The accused, Suraj Sudhakar Patil (24) of Sector 13 in Kharghar and Sachin Raju Pawar (23) of Khalapur, were identified using CCTV camera footage of a crime on April 12. Kharghar resident Shreyas Pawar, a resident of Sector 11, Kharghar, was robbed of his gold chain by Mr. Patil around 1.30 a.m. on April 12.

“We got the vehicle registration number from CCTV footage and nabbed Mr. Patil. He told us about his accomplice, Sachin Pawar,” sub-inspector Nitin Shinde said.
