The Thackeray family has always kept away from contesting elections, be it Shiv Sena founder the late Bal Thackeray or his son and party’s current president Uddhav Thackeray. But the third generation seems to have different plans and may contest elections in the near future.

In an exclusive interview to The Hindu , Yuva Sena president Aaditya Thackeray expressed the possibility of contesting elections. The young leader, for the first time, made his intention clear to lead the party from inside the Assembly.
