Mumbai: The Mumbai Police have prepared a 25-point action plan to ensure that the municipal elections go off without any law and order problems.

According to sources, Mumbai Police Commissioner D.D. Padsalgikar held a meeting with all senior police officers to discuss the plan. Officials said the action plan includes ensuring that two candidates do not hold rallies in the same place at the same time, making it mandatory for all candidates to furnish all details of their rallies or public meetings before being given permission.

The police have identified 10 police stations in the city as ‘hotspots’ as these have the most number of cases registered in the last elections. Extra personnel will be deployed in the jurisdiction of these police stations.
