The Mumbai Police on Friday denied permission to the organisers of the Sunburn concert, featuring David Guetta, to hold the concert in the city.

The event was scheduled for Friday evening in the Bandra Kurla complex. “Permission for Sunburn has been rejected as the organisers did not complete mandatory legal formalities and other requirements,” Mumbai Police spokesperson DCP Ashok Dudhe said.

"As of now, the concert is not happening, but our MD is in talks with the police commissioner and BMC to try and make it work. We're trying our best to make this happen, since we don't want to disappoint the fans," spokesperson from Sunburn said.

Earlier, the Bengaluru police had denied permission for the event in Bengaluru citing reasons of law and order.
