3 hurt as SUV rams tree in Vikhroli

Three persons were injured when the SUV they were travelling in lost control and rammed into a tree at around 11 p.m. in Vikhroli on Thursday.

The police said Bholu Satnam (30), Sonu Nathilal (35) and Ranjit Londhe (28) were on their way to Ghatkopar from Kandivali when their Scorpio lost control and crashed into a tree on the Eastern Express Highway.

The three were rushed to Rajawadi Hospital in Ghatkopar. Nathilal and Londhe were discharged after treatment, but Satnam, who sustained a fracture to his knee, was shifted to Sion Hospital.

Police Sub Inspector Santosh Patil, Vikhroli police station, said, “Londhe who was driving the vehicle had not slept for two days. The trio were on their way back to Ghatkopar, where they worked in catering firm, after delivering an order in Kandivali.”

The police are yet to record the statements of the victims, but have registered an Accident Report in the case.
