1 more held in attempt to murder case

The Nerul police arrested the second accused in the June 10 attempt to murder case on Tuesday.

The accsued has been identified as Nayan alias Bob Nathuram Sukum (22), a resident of Sector 20 in Nerul. The main accused, Sajesh Gaikar (20), a first year hotel management student, was arrested on June 16.

They were held for trying to kill their childhood friend Tushar Lakeshri (22) on June 10 at Sector 24 near Balaji Hill. Gaikar slit victim’s neck and then stabbed him causing grievous injuries. Lakeshri, worked as a computer operator in a private firm at Sanapada. According to the police, Gaikar atempted to murder Lakeshri as he had threatened to kill him over a dispute.
