Women activists took a resolution to fight the threats posed by fascist forces with a united front. At ‘Pennoruma’, a get-together organised under the aegis of Women’s Welfare Association Kerala here on Saturday, they declared that they had a right to live and die as Indians and hence would fight intolerance. “The people who shot dead an unarmed woman will not stop there. They will go for more. Hence we have to stand united,” said P. Sathi Devi, State secretary of All India Democratic Women’s Association.

Former district president of the association Kanathil Jameela said that it took the death of one to create an awakening of women in the country.
