Will end life if graft charges proved, Vellappally tells VS

Opposition leader had alleged that the SNDP Yogam leader was misusing funds of the microfinance of the Yogam for his personal gain.

Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalama (SNDP) Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan has said that he would end his life if Leader of the Opposition V.S. Achuthanandan proved that he is guilty in the alleged case of misusing funds of the microfinance of the Yogam for his personal gain.

Addressing a rally at Vadakara here on Wednesday in connection with the ongoing Samathwa Munnetta Yatra led by him, Mr. Natesan challenged the Opposition Leader to make public any evidence if had about the allegations on the microfinance scheme. The Munsif Court at Attingal, the Kerala High Court, and the Vigilance Court had looked into the case and rejected the allegations. If he was so concerned about corruption, why was Mr. Achuthanandan silent on the balance-sheets of Muslim Educational Society and other Muslim organisations’ trusts, he quipped.

'Yatra not against any community'

At a rally in Kozhikode in the evening, Mr. Natesan clarified that his yatra was not against Muslims or Christians.

It was for getting justice for the Hindu communities.

“About 55 per cent of the Hindus are unable to secure benefits from the government. But now we have decided to unite to get justice. Hindus do not receive the benefits of education policies. We don’t have a Sachaar or a Paloli committee to uplift us. When we say this we are called communal. At the same time, minorities obtain all benefits,” Mr. Natesan said.
