Traders to explore e-options

February 03, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:39 am IST - Kozhikode:

The Kerala Vyapari Vyavasayi Ekopana Samithi has decided to join hands with online shopping portal kabooliwala.com to enhance the business prospects of its members, samithi president T. Nasirudeen has said.

The decision was taken after realising the need to utilise the possibilities of modern technologies, including the Internet, to prop up conventional trade, he said.

The entry of global e-shopping giants into the retail markets of the State had seriously affected business, Mr. Nasirudeen said. “The cooperation with the portal is an attempt to resist such invasions,” he said, referring to the possible swing of business into the e-mode.
