February 01, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:42 am IST - Kozhikode:

A seminar organised by Childline with the support of the Kerala State Youth Board here on Friday stressed the need to improve the participation of the State’s youth in the protection of child rights.

Resource persons who addressed the seminar observed that the youth should consider protection of child rights as one of their primary responsibilities. Currently, their participation was not up to the mark.

Youth Welfare Board Expert member C.K. Subair opened the sessions. District Probation Officer Ashraf Kavil, Youth Welfare Board member O. Saranya, Childline coordinator P.P. Sulaiman, and Principal of Holy Cross College Sr. Shiny George addressed the seminar.
