Gold trophy parade held

The Gold Trophy parade, announcing the State School Arts Festival, was held in the city on Monday.

The trophy, which will be handed over to the district that emerges the overall champions of the festival, when it concludes on January 21, was placed in a decorated car, which was flagged off by the Corporation Mayor A.K. Premajam in front of the B.E.M. Girls Higher Secondary School at Mananchira in the city at 3 p.m.

This is the second rally scheduled by the organising committee to announce the 55{+t}{+h}edition of the event in the city.

Accompanied by a motorbike cavalcade of martial arts students and a police escort, the car stopped at different places in the city.
