Social initiative launched at NIT Kozhikode

‘Aavishkaar,’ the social initiative of Tathva , the annual techno-management festival of the National institute of Technology-Calicut (NIT-C), was inaugurated by Mohammed Younis, Regional Director of Social Security Mission, on the NIT-C campus at Chathamangalam on Saturday.

The NIT-C students are taking up different projects including electrification of a tribal village at Chaliyar panchayat in Malappuram district. They are also organising a training programme for people with physical disabilities at the Nest Palliative care society at Koyilandy in desktop publishing and computer operations.
