Signatures mandatory on revenue documents

The signature and official seal of revenue officials who deal with the issuing of various certificates from the village and taluk offices have been made mandatory on the documents as part of ensuring more clarity and accountability.

District Collector N. Prasanth issued a formal directive in this regard to all revenue offices.Mr. Prasanth, in the new order, said the lack of proper signature and seal on the documents was proving it difficult for the district administration to deal with various complaints reported later on the issued documents.

Many a time, it was found as a time consuming affair to trace the officers concerned and settle the disputes, he pointed out.
