The Department of Education is organising a short film festival for students as part of the Kozhikode Revenue District School Arts Festival. The short films should be of a maximum duration of 10 minutes and should be on socially relevant topics. Only one entry is allowed from one school.

Students should handle all parts of production such as script, direction, camera, editing and acting and it should be attested by the school headmaster or headmistress.

The DVD of the short film accompanied by the attestation and a copy of the script should be delivered at the office of the Deputy Director of Education before November 25.

The winner will be determined by a panel of judges that include noted filmmakers. Separate awards will be given for each category. The films will be screened at a special venue during the arts festival.
