A constituency-level convention organised by the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) at Mukkam here on Sunday as part of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections turned into a platform for senior IUML leaders to air their grievances against the Congress.
IUML national treasurer and Minister P.K. Kunhalikutty said: “It was the flags of the IUML that had fluttered in the air though Congress candidates had emerged winners in the Kannur and Wayanad constituencies in the previous Lok Sabha elections.”
IUML State general secretary K.P.A. Majeed said the League was eligible to contest in all the 20 Lok Sabha seats in the State. “Our party is certainly a decisive force that can decide the victory and defeat of a candidate in all the constituencies,” he claimed.
