Seminar on cooperatives at IIMK

Noted economists, academicians and researchers from across the world will participate in the international seminari on ‘Cooperatives in transition in the era of globalisation’ to be organised on the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) campus at Kunnamangalam on Thursday and Friday.

The two-day event is jointly organised by the The Uralungal Labour Contract Cooperative Society (ULCCS), Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) and IIMK.

The inaugural function of the seminar will begin at 9.30 in the morning. UN resident Co-ordinator and UNDP Resident Representative in New Delhi Lisa Grande will open the seminar.

Economist Prof. Prabhat Patnaik, IIMK Professor Krishna Kumar Ladha and TISS director Prof. Parasuraman will be among the speakers for the opening session.

50 participants

Around 50 participants invited from different parts of the world are expected to attend the conference, said a release here on Wednesday.
